New Teacher- New Classes!

Welcome Saluda Camp to the Showtime Family!

She will be teaching acting classes for kids and adults starting the first week in March!

Saluda has worked in theater as an actor, teacher, and director for 23 years. After getting her post-graduate degree in Acting at the London conservatory Mountview Academy for Theatre Arts, Saluda moved to NYC and embarked on a 16-year career as a professional actor in NYC theater and in regional Shakespeare companies. As a teaching artist, Saluda taught acting, Shakespeare, playwrighting, stage combat and mime to children ages 3-18 for seven years, in all five boroughs of NYC. Saluda’s voice work can be heard on Audible.com as the narrator of a young adult audiobook book called Now I Know How! by Demetra Yuvanu.

In Rock Hill, Saluda was the Director of Theatre for Saint Anne School for 6 years. Among her favorite productions that she directed are Fiddler on the Roof, The Miracle Worker, Hello, Dolly!, and Our Town. In addition to teaching 1st-4th grade drama and high school acting classes, Saluda coached students in the annual Shakespeare competition, Bardslam. Saluda is thrilled to be joining Showtime Academy, to share her love of acting with children and adults!

Growing up she competed and won numerous awards as well as went to Barcelona Spain and won the World Cup. She has worked professionally in the performing arts industry for many years with a traveling tour performance company Rad a Tat. She has also collaborated with numerous artists in the music industry such as Kesha, Pussy Cat Dolls, Jessie J, Amanda Dunn just to name a few. Leadership Academy

January / February

January / February

January / February

Being nice to others is not always easy but is completely in our own control. We cannot control how other people think, act or feel, but we can control how we treat others.

It doesn't matter....

If someone looks different, thinks different, acts different, learns different..... we should still choose to

Be Nice.

March

January / February

January / February

In theatre, school, work, on social media, etc., we can get caught up in trying to be the best, showing we are the best, bragging about our accomplishments, but we must find the instincts to aim for superiority and remember to practice humility in all we do.

We have seen kids running across the parking lots or trying to wait in the street for parents. We want to avoid any dangerous situations. Thank you.
